Woods wins 13th major at PGA Championship

08/13/2007 - Tulsa, OK (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tiger Woods collected his first major of the year and 13th overall Sunday when he won the PGA Championship at Southern Hills.

Woods shot a final-round, one-under 69 to finish the tournament at eight- under-par 272, which was good for a two-stroke victory over Woody Austin.

Austin fired an amazing, three-under 67 to finish alone in second place at minus-six.

Ernie Els also applied some pressure on Sunday. He posted a four-under 66 to take third place at five-under-par 275.

The win was Woods' fourth PGA Championship and he has now successfully defended this title twice. He hoisted the trophy for the fifth time this season on tour and pushed his career win total to 59.

Woods is now five behind Jack Nicklaus' record for professional majors and is a perfect 13-0 in majors when he has at least a share of the third-round lead.
